The Pennsylvania Association for Individuals with Disabilities (PAID) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the employment needs of individuals with disabilities through unique programming, education, and partnership opportunities with business and industry.
PAID provides information and access to extensive resources for both employees and employer partners in an effort to reduce the 70 percent unemployment rate among those with disabilities. The organization fosters progressive working relationships that benefit business owners, disabled individuals who want to contribute to the workforce and our nation's economy.
PAID was founded in 1999 by a group of dedicated volunteers who recognized that employment continues to be the area of greatest disparity between those who are disabled and those who are not. |
